December 25, 2020 (second hour) – With the show falling on Dec 25th this year, this full 2-hour show will be a reflection of that. The show will open with a 20-minute recording of Dylan Thomas reading his A Child’s Christmas in Wales. That will be followed by an 8-minute seasonal reading by show’s host, Bruce Kauffman. That then followed by an 82-minute audio performance of Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol – an elaborate production done by Studio Severn. December 11, 2020, 5-6pm – second hour of a two hour show in which you’ll hear Leonard Cohen’s beautiful speech of gratitude for having received the Prince of Asturias Award for Literature at that ceremony in 2011. You’ll also hear a recorded segment of Rumi poems, a couple of pieces of music, and bits about the funding drive again this hour.

Henry’s ‘The Gift of the Magi.’ There will also be a couple of pieces of seasonal music and as well, a bit about CFRC’s 15th Annual Funding Drive.

The first, by teacher, lawyer, writer Michelle Kuo with her talk titled “The Healing Power of Reading”, TedxTaipei2018 held in September 2018 with a video TED link at: https://www.ted.com/talks/mcihelle_kuo_the_healing_power_of_reading . And the second by novelist, storyteller, and women rights activist Elif Shafak with her talk titled ““The Politics of Fiction”, TedGlobal2010 held in July 2010 with the video TET link at: https://www.ted.com/talks/elif_shafak_the_politics_of_fiction And in addition midway through this second hour, you’ll hear Kingston singer/songwriter Michelle Kasaboski with her cover of ‘If I Fell in Love’ off her 2018 ep called “Michelle Kasaboski: The Very Thought of You”.
