April 23, 2021, 4-5pm – first hour of a two hour show featuring, as the month of April’s reading in the monthly and the journey continues open mic reading series – presented here today as the event itself, you’ll hear readings by Lee-Ann Taras, David Malone, Bob MacKenzie, Anne Graham, Billie, John Rose, Eric Folsom, and Judith Popiel.

April 16, 2021, 5-6pm – second hour of a two hour show, the April 8, 2021 launch of “Lake Effect 10” continues with readings by Aynsley Rae, Claudia Rupnik, Adam Vriend, and Michelle Zeng. Following those, were closing comments by co-emcees Ashanti Francis and Adam Vriend, and then Carolyn Smart, Professor of Creative Writing at Queen’s University. Carolyn, as mentor and editor, began the series in 2003, and this 10th edition is the final one in that biennial series. Each book in it was filled with work from her advanced Creative Writing at Queen’s classes. This featured portion of the show ended at about 5:35pm.

April 16, 2021, 4-5pm – first hour of a two hour show, following a few minutes of calls for submissions, the show features the April 8, 2021 launch of “Lake Effect 10”. The intro to it began at about 4:15, with then readings by Ashanti Francis, Jane Frew, Daniel Green, Alana Hrywkiw, Hannah Luppe, Simone Manning, Pascale Mettrick, and Sebastian Molgat. The event carries into the second hour.
